With her faithful dog Toto by her side, she embarks on a dangerous journey to find her way back home. Along the way she meets the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), Tin Man (Jack Haley) and Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr). All of them seek the help of the Wizard of Oz (Frank Morgan) to grant them their wishes. Dorothy and her friends must face many obstacles, including the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton), before they can reach their destination. With the help of Glinda, the Good Witch of the North (Billie Burke), Dorothy eventually succeeds in her quest and learns the true meaning of home.

They soon come to realize that the other tenants are a coven of witches and cultists who plan to sacrifice Rosemary's unborn child to the Devil in exchange for immortality. Rosemary is eventually impregnated by the Devil and realizes that her child, Adrian, is the Antichrist. The film follows Rosemary as she struggles to protect her child and confronts her husband, who is in on the conspiracy. Despite its intense subject matter, the film is praised for its suspenseful and unsettling atmosphere, and its strong performances by Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes.
