The Hurt Locker is an intense psychological thriller set in Iraq during the Iraq War (2004-2009). It follows a US Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit that is tasked with disabling and disposing of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other weapons of mass destruction. The unit is led by Staff Sergeant William James, an experienced EOD technician who is able to make quick decisions and take initiative.
