Shaun of the Dead is a 2004 British horror-comedy film directed by Edgar Wright. The film stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as two friends who are caught up in a zombie apocalypse. With the help of his slacker best friend Ed (Frost), Shaun decides to get his life back on track by winning back his ex-girlfriend Liz (Kate Ashfield) and reconciling with his mother (Penelope Wilton). However, things take a turn for the worse when zombies begin to overrun the city. Shaun and Ed must fight to survive and make it to the safe haven of the Winchester pub, as well as save their loved ones. Along the way, they must also battle their own insecurities and shortcomings. Ultimately, Shaun and Ed will have to face their fears and fight for their lives if they are to make it out alive.
