CIA analyst Jack Ryan (Baldwin) is sent to investigate and must work with other American forces to prevent the KGB from stopping Ramius and the submarine. With its twisting plot, the film received critical acclaim and was a box office success, becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of 1990.
