Oldboy is a 2003 South Korean neo-noir action thriller film directed by Park Chan-wook. The story follows the life of Oh Dae-su, who is inexplicably kidnapped and held captive in a strange, private prison for 15 years. After his unexpected release, he embarks on a quest for vengeance, which leads him to discover the shocking truth behind his imprisonment. The film is renowned for its violent, yet stylized action sequences, and its twist ending. It won several awards, including the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, and has since become a cult classic.

28 Days Later... is a post-apocalyptic horror/thriller film directed by Danny Boyle and released in 2002. With the help of two other survivors, Selena (Naomie Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley), Jim navigates through a deserted London and embarks on a desperate search for other living survivors, only to discover that he may be the only one left. As the trio attempt to escape the city, they face dangers from both the infected and from the survivors who have formed a military-like militia in an effort to take control of the country.
