La Dolce Vita is a 1960 Italian art-house film directed by Federico Fellini. It follows a week in the life of Marcello Rubini, a struggling journalist, and his adventures in Rome's high society. Along with his carefree playboy lifestyle, Marcello struggles with his own moral dilemmas and his desire for a more meaningful life. He encounters a series of characters including an aging movie star and her daughter, a wealthy couple, a famous Swedish actress, a religious procession, and a mysterious young girl. Through these encounters, Marcello is forced to confront the moral emptiness of his hedonistic lifestyle, as he searches for a more authentic experience of life. Ed Wood is a biopic of the notorious 1950s filmmaker Edward D. Wood Jr., who gained infamy for his low-budget, low-quality films. Directed by Tim Burton, the film follows Wood's quest to become a big-time director in Hollywood, despite his lack of talent, money and connections. Along the way, he meets a colorful cast of characters, including Bela Lugosi, Tor Johnson and Vampira. Through sheer determination, Wood eventually succeeds in making his dream come true, resulting in some of the most beloved - and famously awful - films of all time.

Fantasia is a 1940 American animated film produced by Walt Disney and released by Walt Disney Productions. It is the third animated feature in the Disney animated features canon. The film consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski, seven of which are performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Music critic and composer Deems Taylor acts as the film's Master of Ceremonies, providing a live-action introduction to each animated segment. The film's animated segments feature a variety of interpretations of classical pieces, including an underground mushroom world, a dance of fire, a gathering of hippos in a river, a prehistoric fantasy world, a mythical world of centaurs, a pastoral landscape of unicorns and other magical creatures, and a finale featuring the sorcerer Yen Sid. Fantasia was the first film released in stereophonic sound. Fantasia was a critical and commercial success, and, in a re-release in 1945, became the highest-grossing film of all time until it was surpassed by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is also considered one of Disney's greatest animated works.
