The film follows Diggler's rise to fame and his subsequent fall when drug addiction, jealousy and ego get in the way of his career. Along the way, he encounters a host of colorful characters including Roller Girl (Heather Graham), Buck Swope (Don Cheadle), Little Bill (William H. Macy), and many others. The film is notable for its insightful and sympathetic portrayal of the adult film industry and its stars, as well as its frank exploration of the complex and often dark side of the hedonistic Hollywood lifestyle.
