The film follows Carl Denham and his crew who venture to an island to capture the legendary giant gorilla known as "Kong". After capturing the beast, they take him to New York City where he escapes and rampages throughout the city. Eventually, Kong is slain atop the Empire State Building. The film has been remade several times and is considered a classic of early cinema.

Apocalypto is a 2006 action-adventure film directed by Mel Gibson. After the raiders capture his village and slaughter most of its inhabitants, Jaguar Paw and his friends attempt an escape from the captors. Along the way, Jaguar Paw encounters a number of dangers and obstacles, including a powerful Mayan priest and a mysterious tribe of hunters. The film is ultimately a story of courage and perseverance in the face of extreme adversity, as Jaguar Paw must summon all of his strength and resourcefulness to survive and reunite with his family.

The Incredible Shrinking Man is a 1957 American science fiction film directed by Jack Arnold. As he continues to shrink, he must struggle to survive in a world where he is now a fraction of his former self and has been reduced to living in a dollhouse. He also has to battle a vicious housecat, and is eventually challenged by a huge, menacing spider. Scott must fight to protect himself and his shrinking body while trying to find a way to reverse his plight. Along the way, he discovers the importance of faith and courage in the face of adversity.
