The film follows the story of two star-crossed lovers from different social classes, Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet). On board the Titanic, Jack and Rose develop a strong connection, but as the ship sinks, their hopes for a future together become increasingly unlikely. As the passengers struggle to stay alive, Jack and Rose must find a way to survive or succumb to the icy waters of the Atlantic. Titanic was a massive commercial success and won 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The film has continued to captivate audiences with its timeless love story and remarkable visuals.

Captain Phillips is a 2013 biographical thriller based on the true story of the 2009 hijacking of the U.S. cargo ship Maersk Alabama by Somali pirates. The film stars Tom Hanks as Captain Richard Phillips and Barkhad Abdi as the lead pirate Abduwali Muse. The story follows Captain Phillips and his crew who, after departing from Oman, find themselves under attack by a group of Somali pirates led by Muse. Although the crew manages to repel the initial attack, a second wave of attackers manages to board the ship, taking Phillips and several of his crew hostage. Phillips and his crew are taken hostage on a lifeboat, with Phillips attempting to negotiate with the pirates to let him and his crew free. However, the pirates are determined to hold the crew hostage until they are paid a ransom. Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy sends out a task force to rescue Phillips and his crew. After a tense standoff between the pirates and the U.S. Navy, Captain Phillips and his crew are eventually rescued. The film ends with Phillips returning home and being reunited with his family.

Jacques eventually discovers his true passion for the depths of the ocean and is determined to explore them, while Enzo is more interested in the commercial aspects of freediving and competing. The two friends eventually meet and compete against a cryptic Italian freediver named Johana (played by Arquette). The competition between Jacques and Enzo escalates as they compete against Johana, while they also try to overcome their personal issues and come to terms with their differing goals. The film has been praised for its beautiful visuals and its realistic depiction of freediving. The themes explored in the movie, such as friendship, competition, and love, are portrayed with an emotional depth that makes The Big Blue a classic movie.
