Little Children is a 2006 drama directed by Todd Field and based on the novel of the same name by Tom Perrotta. The story focuses on Sarah Pierce and Brad Adamson, two married adults who have become disenchanted with their marriages and allow themselves to become emotionally involved with each other. Along with their respective spouses, the two navigate their way through their respective marriages and the responsibility of raising children. Other characters include Ronnie J. McGorvey, a convicted sex offender who moves into their neighborhood, and Larry Hedges, Brad's next door neighbor and a former child actor. The film explores the lives of these characters, their relationship to each other, and how their decisions affect the lives of those around them.
