A Few Good Men is a 1992 American drama film directed by Rob Reiner, starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore. Kaffee, who is known for his ability to plea bargain, initially intends to plea bargain the case away, but is persuaded by Galloway to actually defend the Marines. He eventually discovers a conspiracy within the base involving the hazing death, and is forced to confront the formidable Colonel Nathan Jessup (Nicholson), who is ultimately responsible for the death. The film was a box office success, and was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Reiner received an Academy Award nomination for Best Director, and Nicholson won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance
