Alien is a science-fiction horror film set in 2122, following the crew of the commercial towing spaceship Nostromo as they encounter a mysterious alien life form. After intercepting a distress signal from a nearby planet, the crew investigates and discovers a derelict alien spacecraft containing a large, mysterious egg. When a facehugger alien creature attaches itself to one of the crew members, they soon discover that it has laid an alien embryo inside him, which eventually bursts out of his chest. As the alien matures, it becomes a powerful and deadly killing machine, targeting the crew one by one as they desperately attempt to escape. With the help of the ship's artificial intelligence, they eventually manage to destroy the alien and survive the ordeal.

The Battle of Algiers is a 1966 film directed by Gillo Pontecorvo. It follows the events of the Algerian War from 1954 to 1962, when Algeria was under French colonial rule. The film illustrates the brutality of colonialism and the lengths that both sides will go to in order to achieve their political goals. It shows how the Algerian people use guerilla warfare and terrorism to achieve their aims, and how the French government uses torture and other tactics in its attempts to contain the uprising. In the end, the Algerian people are successful in their struggle for independence.
