The film was a box office success, receiving critical acclaim and several Academy Award nominations including Best Picture.

The film follows a young Mayan man named Jaguar Paw, who is captured by a Mayan raiding party and taken away to be sacrificed. Escaping his captors, he must make a daring journey through the jungle and swamps of his homeland to save his beloved family and find freedom. Along the way, he encounters obstacles and enemies as he fights to survive in a world that is coming to an end. With his courage and determination, he ultimately triumphs over his captors and finds a way to reunite with his family.

The film follows the struggles of Zuckerberg and his team to make the site a success, and his subsequent conflicts with other companies and personalities. Along the way, viewers gain insight into how the website was created, how it grew, and how it changed the way people communicate.

Captain Phillips is a 2013 biographical thriller film directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Tom Hanks. The film follows Phillips, the ship's first mate and crew as they are pursued by the pirates. When they are eventually taken hostage, Phillips attempts to win their respect and negotiate a release. After a failed attempt to escape, Phillips is taken aboard the pirates' lifeboat, and a stand-off ensues between the pirates and the U.S. Navy. Ultimately, Phillips and his crew are rescued and the pirates are arrested. The film was praised for its intense action sequences and powerful performances by Hanks and the Somali actors.

The Big Short is a 2015 American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Adam McKay and written by McKay and Charles Randolph. The film stars an ensemble cast including Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt. The film centers around four outsiders who saw the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s before it collapsed and predicted the Great Recession of 2008. They decide to take on the big banks for their greed and lack of foresight in the hopes of making a profit. Through their investigations, they discover how flawed and corrupt the market has become. Along the way, they must battle their own feelings of guilt and risk as they make money from a crisis that has hurt so many people. The film shows how greed, selfishness and corruption were the catalysts for the financial crisis.

Hidden Figures is a 2016 American biographical drama directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Melfi and Allison Schroeder. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe as the three women, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, respectively, with Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali and Aldis Hodge in supporting roles. Set in the early 1960s, the film follows the three African American women as they work to overcome gender and racial discrimination to become integral members of the NASA team. Despite their contributions to the space race, their achievements were long kept secret due to their gender and pre-civil rights race. The film follows their struggles and ultimate success in becoming respected and influential figures in the space program and in the fight for civil rights.

United 93 is a 2006 American docudrama directed by Paul Greengrass that chronicles the events of United Airlines Flight 93 during the September 11 attacks. The film follows the passengers and crew of the flight who, upon learning of the other hijacked planes, attempt to take back control of the plane and prevent it from reaching its intended target. The film is based on actual phone conversations, flight cockpit recordings, and passenger accounts of the events of September 11, 2001. Despite the tragedy of the outcome, the film is a testament to the courage of the passengers and crew, who fought back against their hijackers and ultimately prevented the plane from reaching its intended target.

It is an intense, action-packed story of courage and heroism against insurmountable odds.
