Black Hawk Down is a 2001 war drama film directed by Ridley Scott. The film is based on the 1999 non-fiction book of the same name by Mark Bowden. It follows the events of the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia, which took place on October 3, 1993 and resulted in two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters being shot down by Somali militia forces. The film follows an elite U.S. Army Ranger unit who is sent to Mogadishu on a mission to capture Somali militia leader Mohamed Farrah Aidid. The mission quickly turns into a chaotic urban battle as the Rangers are trapped in the city’s narrow streets and forced to defend themselves against a relentless militia assault. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Eric Bana, Ewan McGregor, Tom Sizemore, William Fichtner, and Ewen Bremner. It was a critical and commercial success, earning two Oscar nominations and grossing over $108 million worldwide.

Only Angels Have Wings is a 1939 drama directed by Howard Hawks. It stars Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Richard Barthelmess. Set in the fictional South American port town of Barranca, the film follows the adventures of a group of pilots who work for a small airmail delivery company. Despite their hard-working and dangerous lifestyle, these men form a tight-knit family, who will risk their own lives to save each other. In addition to the pilots’ relationships, the film also follows the love story between one of the pilots, Geoff (Grant), and a showgirl named Bonnie (Arthur). As their romance blossoms, a tragedy threatens to tear them apart. Only Angels Have Wings is a classic exploration of loyalty and courage in the face of danger.
