Wolf Children is a Japanese animated film directed by Mamoru Hosoda, released in 2012. It follows the story of Hana, a young woman who falls in love with a mysterious man who is secretly a wolf-man. After he passes away, she is left to raise their two children, Ame and Yuki, who inherited his ability to turn into wolves. The film follows the struggles of Hana and her children as they learn to live in the human world while also embracing their wolf-like qualities. Along the way, they make friends, confront prejudice, and gain a new appreciation for their wolf heritage. The film is an exploration of family ties, the power of nature, and the importance of understanding and accepting the differences between people.

Beauty and the Beast was both a critical and commercial success, grossing over $425 million worldwide against a budget of $25 million, becoming the third highest-grossing film of the year. With the help of Dr. Hirsch and his assistant, Jack tries to find a way to break the curse of the werewolf, while dealing with the horror of his own transformation. The movie features groundbreaking make-up effects by Rick Baker, creating scenes of horror and dark humor. In the end, Jack makes a heartbreaking choice that will have a lasting effect on everyone involved.
