The Silence of the Lambs is a 1991 psychological horror film directed by Jonathan Demme and based on the 1988 novel of the same name by Thomas Harris. It stars Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee who seeks the advice of the incarcerated cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) to catch another serial killer, known as "Buffalo Bill" (Ted Levine). The film follows Clarice's efforts to uncover the identity and motives of Buffalo Bill, while Lecter provides her with cryptic clues and threatening warnings about the killer. Clarice must also confront her own demons as the investigation becomes increasingly personal and dangerous. The Silence of the Lambs won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Hopkins), Best Actress (Foster) and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film has become a classic of the horror genre and is widely considered to be one of the best films of all time.

As the story unfolds, the truth about Norman and his mother is revealed, leading to a shocking and unexpected conclusion.

Jaws is a 1975 American horror-thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Peter Benchley's best-selling novel of the same name. The film stars Roy Scheider as Police Chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as oceanographer Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint, and Lorraine Gary as Brody's wife, Ellen. When a great white shark begins attacking beachgoers off the coast of the fictional New England town of Amity Island, the police chief, town mayor and a marine biologist attempt to hunt the deadly predator. After several unsuccessful attempts, the trio eventually capture the shark and kill it. The film is remembered for its iconic score by composer John Williams and its intense and suspenseful scenes. The film was a box office success, grossing over $470 million and becoming the highest-grossing film of all time at the time of its release. It also received critical acclaim, receiving three Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

The Exorcist follows the story of a young girl, Regan (Linda Blair), who is possessed by a demonic entity after playing with a Ouija board. The girl's mother, Chris (Ellen Burstyn), seeks help from a local priest, Father Damien Karras (Jason Miller), who believes the possession is real. With the help of a renowned exorcist, Father Lankester Merrin (Max von Sydow), and an assistant, Father Joseph Dyer (William O'Malley), Father Karras attempts to rid the girl of the demonic force. Despite the danger of the situation, the priests battle the demonic entity in a spiritual battle to save Regan and her mother. The film is filled with intense psychological horror, physical horror, and religious themes as the priests attempt to save Regan and her soul.

Changeling is a 2008 American drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by J. Michael Straczynski. Set in Los Angeles in 1928, it stars Angelina Jolie as a mother whose son goes missing, and she is subsequently reunited with an impostor who is presented as her son. The movie follows her as she embarks on a quest to find her true son. As her search progresses, she comes to the realization that someone high up in the police department is trying to cover up the truth, and she is determined to get to the bottom of it. Along the way, she faces numerous obstacles, including a legal system that is unwilling to help her, and a public that is increasingly hostile towards her work. In the end, she is able to uncover the truth and reunite with her son.
