Boogie Nights is a 1997 film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson that follows the life of a young man named Eddie Adams (Mark Wahlberg) as he rises to fame in the 1970s and 1980s adult-film industry. The film also examines the personal lives of those involved in the industry, including Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds), Amber Waves (Julianne Moore), Rollergirl (Heather Graham) and Buck Swope (Don Cheadle), as they struggle with success, love, family, and addiction. Boogie Nights is a powerful drama about the sex industry, fame, and the consequences that come with it.
