Fight Club is a 1999 American film directed by David Fincher, based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. It stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. The film follows an unnamed protagonist (Norton) who is suffering from insomnia and is fed up with his white-collar job. He forms a "fight club" with soap maker Tyler Durden (Pitt). The club becomes a secret underground organization that engages in recklessly destructive behavior. The protagonist, suffering from insomnia, begins to spiral out of control until he eventually comes to realize that Tyler is manipulating him and that their fight club is part of a larger plan to bring down a major space of the world's economy. The film explores themes of masculinity, existentialism, and nihilism. It was a commercial success and was generally critically acclaimed, and won the 1999 MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. It has since gone on to become a cult classic.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, directed by Peter Jackson and released in 2002, is the second installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. With the help of Gandalf the White, they must find a way to save Middle-Earth and defeat the evil forces that threaten it.
