The Shining is a psychological horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name. It stars Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance, an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic who accepts a job as the off-season caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. He is accompanied by his wife, Wendy Torrance (Shelley Duvall), and their young son, Danny (Danny Lloyd). After Danny is gifted with "the shining," an array of psychic abilities, the family soon discovers that the hotel is haunted by a malevolent presence. As Jack slowly descends into madness, Danny and Wendy must battle the supernatural forces that threaten their family’s survival. In the end, they must fight to escape the haunted hotel and its secrets before Jack succeeds in his horrific plans.

Two priests, Father Damien Karras (Jason Miller) and Father Lankester Merrin (Max von Sydow), are brought in to perform an exorcism in an attempt to expel the evil spirit. The film portrays the struggle between good and evil and the repercussions of the exorcism, as the priests battle against overwhelming forces of evil in a desperate attempt to save Regan. It is considered by many to be one of the greatest horror films of all time.

Along the way, he encounters a mysterious old woman, a malevolent force, and a bunch of creative and gruesome deaths. In the end, Ash must face the ultimate evil and save humanity from damnation.

Get Out is a social commentary on racism in modern America and explores themes of race, class, and power dynamics.

The family must remain vigilantly quiet in order to avoid being killed by the creatures, who hunt down anything that makes noise. As the family struggles to survive in a world of silence, they must also deal with the impending danger of the creatures, as well as the secrets that each family member holds. In the end, the family must find a way to both protect and communicate with one another in order to survive.

28 Days Later... is a post-apocalyptic horror/sci-fi film directed by Danny Boyle and released in 2002. The film follows a group of survivors in a world overrun by a highly contagious virus that turns its victims into mindless, rage-filled creatures. The virus was released when animal activists broke into a laboratory and freed chimpanzees infected with the Rage virus. The main protagonist of the film is Jim, a bicycle courier who wakes up from a 28-day coma to find that the world has changed drastically and he is one of the few remaining survivors. After reuniting with other survivors, Jim joins them on a journey through the apocalyptic wasteland of England as they search for a safe haven. Along the way they encounter dangers from both the infected and the remaining pockets of human survivors. The film is a roller coaster ride of action and horror as the survivors struggle to survive and find a way to halt the spread of the virus. It is a visceral, intense, and disturbing film that is sure to leave an imprint on viewers.
