Juno is a coming-of-age comedy-drama directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. It stars Ellen Page as Juno MacGuff, a sixteen-year-old high school student in Minnesota who discovers she is pregnant with her friend Paulie Bleeker's (Michael Cera) child. After a failed initial attempt at an abortion, she decides to give the baby up for adoption. With help from her best friend, Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno searches for the perfect couple to adopt her baby. Along the way, she experiences more of the adult world than she ever expected, learning how to cope with the consequences of her actions. The film also explores the relationships between Juno, her parents and Paulie, as Juno comes of age and makes difficult decisions.
