Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is a British-American black comedy film released in 1964. The film follows U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper (Sterling Hayden), who orders a nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, against the wishes of his superiors. British Royal Air Force Officer Group Captain Lionel Mandrake (Peter Sellers), a U.S. President's immediate advisor (Peter Sellers again), and the president himself (Sellers for the third time) attempt to recall the bombers and prevent a nuclear war. They are aided by the wheelchair-bound former Nazi scientist, Dr. Strangelove (Sellers for the fourth time). The film is a dark comedy that satirizes the Cold War fears of a nuclear conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States. The movie has become a classic, and still stands as one of the greatest satirical films ever made.

United 93 is an American drama film written and directed by Paul Greengrass. The film is a dramatization of the hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in a rural field in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001, during the September 11 attacks. The film chronicles the efforts of the passengers and crew to take back control of the plane from the four al-Qaeda hijackers. It stars a largely unknown cast as the passengers and crew members. The film focuses on the passengers and crew aboard United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked by four al-Qaeda terrorists on September 11, 2001. The film follows the passengers and crew as they discover the terrorist plot, attempt to contact authorities on the ground, and ultimately try to retake control of the plane. The film culminates in the passengers and crew successfully taking back control of the plane, only to crash in a field in Pennsylvania. The film received positive reviews from critics and was nominated for two Academy Awards. It was also a box office success, grossing over $95 million worldwide.
