Rosemary's Baby is a psychological horror film directed by Roman Polanski, released in 1968. Rosemary begins to suspect that her husband, Guy, has made a pact with their peculiar neighbors in order to gain fame and fortune at the expense of Rosemary's unborn child. As the story progresses, Rosemary discovers the horrifying truth of what her husband and neighbors are planning. Rosemary must ultimately face the terrifying prospect of raising a child that might be the spawn of Satan himself. The movie is a suspenseful and disturbing exploration of religion, superstition, and the dangers of trusting the wrong people.
