The Nightmare Before Christmas is a 1993 stop-motion animated musical fantasy film directed by Henry Selick and produced/co-written by Tim Burton. The film tells the story of Jack Skellington, a resident from "Halloween Town" who stumbles through a portal to "Christmas Town" and decides to celebrate the holiday. Jack's enthusiasm for Christmas and his attempts to bring Christmas to his home causes confusion and chaos in both towns. With the help of his rag-doll girlfriend, Sally, Jack attempts to save both towns from the chaos he created. The film features the voices of Danny Elfman, Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, and Paul Reubens.
