With the help of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Ares III crew, and his own determination, Watney embarks on a journey of self-discovery and exploration as he battles the unforgiving environment of Mars. Despite the odds being stacked against him, Watney is determined to make it home, and shows that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.

The story follows Douglas Quaid, a construction worker who is haunted by dreams of Mars and a mysterious woman. He visits Rekall, a company that implants false memories, but discovers that his dreams may actually be real memories of his past life as a secret agent on Mars. Douglas soon finds himself on the run from a group of assassins and a powerful corporation, seeking to uncover the truth about his past life. Along the way, he teams up with a woman named Melina and fights to save Mars from the corporation's evil plans. With action, suspense, and a dash of comedy, Total Recall is an entertaining classic that still stands the test of time.
