The Lady Vanishes follows a young woman named Iris (Margaret Lockwood) as she embarks on a train journey across Europe. With only a few clues, the two must travel across the continent, battling spies and assassins, in a daring attempt to uncover the truth behind Miss Froy's disappearance. Along the way, Iris and Gilbert form an unexpected bond as they uncover a sinister plot that threatens their lives, as well as the lives of everyone on the train.

Changeling is a 2008 drama directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Angelina Jolie. The film is based on a true story from 1928, and follows Christine Collins (Jolie), a single mother whose son is kidnapped. After months of searching, the Los Angeles Police Department hands Christine a boy claiming to be her son. She soon discovers that the boy is an impostor and begins a crusade to bring her son home. She is met with resistance from the police, and eventually is committed to an insane asylum. It takes the efforts of a radio program and a crusading reverend to help Christine eventually reunite with her son. The film is a cautionary tale about corruption in the LAPD, and shows the power of a mother’s love and determination.
