Logan (2017) is a superhero film directed by James Mangold, based on the Marvel Comics character, Wolverine. Set in the near future, Logan (Hugh Jackman) is an ailing and weary Wolverine, caring for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. When a young mutant arrives, pursued by sinister forces, Logan must reluctantly return to the fight with all of his powers. Alongside him, the young mutant Laura (Dafne Keen) is being hunted, and Logan must protect her at all costs. With the help of an old friend, Logan must battle the dark forces and save Laura, while also coming to terms with his own mortality.

Deadpool is a 2016 action comedy superhero film directed by Tim Miller and based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film follows Wade Wilson, a former Special Forces operative-turned-mercenary, who undergoes an experiment to cure his terminal cancer that instead gives him accelerated healing powers, disfiguring him in the process. With his new abilities, Wade forms the persona "Deadpool" and seeks revenge on the man who nearly destroyed his life. Along the way, he teams up with a mutant named Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her mentor Colossus, and comes face-to-face with the powerful Ajax. In the end, Deadpool must use his newfound abilities to save the love of his life, Vanessa.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is a 2014 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics X-Men characters. The film is directed by Bryan Singer and stars an ensemble cast featuring Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. The story follows the characters from the original X-Men trilogy as well as younger versions of the same characters from X-Men: First Class. In the future, the mutants and their human allies are on the brink of extinction due to the rise of powerful robots called Sentinels. In a last ditch effort to save their species, Wolverine is sent back in time to 1973 to try and prevent the creation of the Sentinels. Along the way, Wolverine must reunite the younger and older versions of the X-Men in order to alter the future and save the world.

X-Men: First Class is a 2011 superhero film based on the X-Men comics created by Marvel Comics. Directed by Matthew Vaughn and written by Ashley Edward Miller, Zack Stentz, and Jane Goldman, the film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult. The story is set in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and follows Charles Xavier (McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Fassbender), two mutants who become close friends, and ultimately bond together to form the X-Men in order to stop a global conflict between humans and mutants. Along the way, they must confront and defeat their greatest enemy, the villainous Sebastian Shaw, a mutant with the power to manipulate energy. The film follows the heroes as they face off against Shaw and his team of mutants, while also exploring the backstory of Xavier and Lehnsherr and their emotional journey. With its thrilling action sequences, stellar performances, and an engaging story, X-Men: First Class is a worthy addition to the X-Men movie franchise.

Deadpool 2 is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, distributed by 20th Century Fox. Directed by David Leitch, the film is the eleventh installment in the X-Men film series, and a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool. The film follows Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) as he forms the X-Force to protect a young mutant from the time-traveling soldier Cable (Josh Brolin). Along the way, Deadpool must battle his former friend, the mutant Firefist (Julian Dennison) and juggle his relationship with his girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). The film received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success, grossing over $785 million worldwide, against a budget of $110 million. The film was praised for its humor, performances, and action sequences.
