Logan (2017) is a superhero film directed by James Mangold, based on the Marvel Comics character, Wolverine. Set in the near future, Logan (Hugh Jackman) is an ailing and weary Wolverine, caring for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. When a young mutant arrives, pursued by sinister forces, Logan must reluctantly return to the fight with all of his powers. Alongside him, the young mutant Laura (Dafne Keen) is being hunted, and Logan must protect her at all costs. With the help of an old friend, Logan must battle the dark forces and save Laura, while also coming to terms with his own mortality.

With his new abilities, Wade forms the persona "Deadpool" and seeks revenge on the man who nearly destroyed his life. Along the way, he teams up with a mutant named Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her mentor Colossus, and comes face-to-face with the powerful Ajax. In the end, Deadpool must use his newfound abilities to save the love of his life, Vanessa.

Along the way, they must confront and defeat their greatest enemy, the villainous Sebastian Shaw, a mutant with the power to manipulate energy. The film follows the heroes as they face off against Shaw and his team of mutants, while also exploring the backstory of Xavier and Lehnsherr and their emotional journey. With its thrilling action sequences, stellar performances, and an engaging story, X-Men: First Class is a worthy addition to the X-Men movie franchise.
