It's a Wonderful Life is a classic Christmas movie by director Frank Capra. The film tells the story of George Bailey, a small-town banker who has been struggling to make ends meet. He has been so preoccupied with his problems that he has decided to commit suicide on Christmas Eve. However, Angel Second Class, Clarence, is sent from Heaven to intervene and show George what life might have been like without him. Through a series of flashbacks and visions, Clarence shows George how his presence has changed the lives of those around him for the better. In the end, George decides to stay and his community rallies around him to save his business. The film ends with George realizing that "no man is a failure who has friends" and that life is truly a wonderful thing.

Wings of Desire is a 1987 German fantasy drama film directed by Wim Wenders and starring Bruno Ganz and Solveig Dommartin. It tells the story of an angel, Damiel (Ganz), who is sent down to Berlin to observe and record the lives of the city's inhabitants. Damiel falls in love with a beautiful trapeze artist, Marion (Dommartin), and is faced with a difficult choice between staying immortal and staying with her. The film follows Damiel's journey as he grapples with his decision, as well as the lives of the people he meets along the way. Ultimately, Damiel decides to become human and the film ends with a beautiful affirmation of the power of love and hope.

All That Jazz is a 1979 American musical film directed by Bob Fosse, starring Roy Scheider, Jessica Lange, and Ann Reinking. The film tells the story of Joe Gideon, a successful yet morally bankrupt choreographer and theater director, who struggles to balance his personal life and career. Gideon's hard-driving lifestyle and professional success are contrasted with the consequences of his addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, and drugs. The film features several musical numbers in addition to the main story, including a lavish production of "Bye Bye Life" and a dream ballet. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Although it did not win any Oscars, it was honored with the Palme d'Or at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival.

"The Bishop's Wife" is a 1947 romantic, comedy-drama film directed by Henry Koster and starring Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven. The film follows a bishop who prays for guidance and receives an unexpected answer when an angel, Dudley (Grant), arrives to help him with his problems. Dudley sets out to help the bishop build a new cathedral, but he gets sidetracked by the bishop's attractive wife, Julia (Young). As Julia and Dudley grow closer, their relationship challenges the bishop's faith and his marriage. Through a series of misunderstandings and humorous situations, Dudley is able to bring the bishop and his wife closer together and help them build the cathedral.
