The Shining is a horror film by director Stanley Kubrick, released in 1980 and based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. When Jack succumbs to the hotel's malevolent influence, Wendy and Danny must fight to survive his increasingly violent actions. The Shining is a classic horror film, featuring iconic, eerie visuals and excellent performances from Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
