The Thing is a horror film directed by John Carpenter in 1982. After a Norwegian research team discovers an alien spaceship buried in the ice, they unwittingly unleash the creature on the American team. As the creature begins to mimic the team members, paranoia and fear quickly consume the station. It is up to the team to figure out who is real and who is an imitation before the Thing takes over the entire station. With its inventive special effects and intense atmosphere, The Thing is widely considered to be a classic of the horror genre.

Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean zombie film directed by Sang-ho Yeon. The film follows a workaholic father, Seok-woo, who takes his daughter, Su-an, on a train ride from Seoul to Busan to see her mother. Unbeknownst to Seok-woo, a zombie outbreak has quickly spread across the country, and the infected begin taking over the train. With the help of a few other passengers, Seok-woo and Su-an battle their way through the hordes of zombies in an attempt to make it alive to Busan. Along the way, the group face many obstacles, as well as difficult decisions, as they fight to survive.
