Inglourious Basterds is a 2009 war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The story is set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II and follows a group of Jewish U.S. soldiers, known as the "Basterds", who are chosen to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. Led by Lt. Aldo Raine, the Basterds team up with a young French Jewish cinema owner, Shosanna Dreyfus, to take a dramatic and violent path to justice. Faced with pressure from both the Allied forces and the Nazi hierarchy, the Basterds hatch a plan to take down Hitler and the Nazi leadership during the opening of a high-profile movie premiere. In the end, the Basterds succeed in their mission, taking down the Nazi leadership and sparking a revolution in Nazi-occupied France.

The Help is an acclaimed drama film directed by Tate Taylor, based on the novel of the same name by Kathryn Stockett. The film follows a young white woman named Skeeter in Jackson, Mississippi, in the early 1960s. Skeeter is determined to change the town's racist attitudes by writing a book from the point of view of the African American maids who work for the white families. The movie follows Skeeter as she interacts with the maids and learns about their lives and struggles. Along the way, Skeeter builds an unlikely friendship with her housekeeper, Aibileen, and eventually also with Aibileen's best friend, Minny. Through their stories, Skeeter reveals the racism, injustice, and cruelty that African American maids faced in 1960s America. The Help won several awards, including the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The film is a powerful and heart-felt look at racial injustice and the strength of the human spirit.
