The film is a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of vigilantism, heroism, and justice. It also features stunning set pieces and thrilling action sequences. Ledger's performance as the Joker earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, posthumously. The Dark Knight is widely regarded as one of the greatest superhero films of all time.
