The Shining is a 1980 horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd. The film follows the Torrence family, Jack (Nicholson), Wendy (Duvall) and their son, Danny (Lloyd) as they move into the Overlook Hotel, deep in the Colorado Rockies, to serve as its winter caretakers. Jack's job is to maintain the hotel while the rest of the family is in charge of the day-to-day operations. He quickly becomes overwhelmed by the isolation and the pressure of being alone with his family, and soon begins to experience visions of ghosts from the past. As Jack's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, Danny discovers that he has a special gift — he can sense the presence of the supernatural. As the family's lives become increasingly threatened by the mysterious forces in the hotel, Danny's visions help them escape from the hotel before it's too late.

The Innocents, directed by Jack Clayton and released in 1961, is a psychological thriller based on Henry James' novella, The Turn of the Screw. The film follows a young governess, Miss Giddens (Deborah Kerr), as she takes on a position at a remote country estate to look after two recently orphaned children, Miles and Flora. As she grows closer to the children and their strange behavior, Miss Giddens begins to suspect their home may be haunted by a malevolent presence. As the story progresses, Miss Giddens must confront her own fears and doubts as she discovers the truth of the haunting and attempts to protect the children from the evil forces that seem to be lurking in the shadows.

The Others is a chilling exploration of trust, faith, and the supernatural, with a twist ending that will leave viewers guessing until the very end.

With the help of the Warrens, the Perrons are able to uncover the mystery of the spirit and attempt to expel it from their home. The Conjuring is a chilling and suspenseful horror film that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Beetlejuice is a 1988 dark comedy fantasy horror film directed by Tim Burton. The film stars Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse, a mischievous spirit who is summoned by two recently deceased newlyweds (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis). Betelgeuse attempts to scare away the living people who have moved into their former home, while the ghosts of the newlywed couple try to protect them. With the help of a quirky exorcist (Winona Ryder), the couple eventually succeeds in sending Betelgeuse back to the afterlife. The film is a cult classic, praised for its dark humor and Burton's unique visuals.
