Jurassic Park is a 1993 American science fiction adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. Based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Michael Crichton, the film centers on the fictional Isla Nublar, an islet located off Costa Rica's Pacific coast, where a billionaire philanthropist and a small team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of cloned dinosaurs. When an employee sabotages the park's security system, the dinosaurs escape their enclosures and begin to wreak havoc. The film stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough, Bob Peck, Martin Ferrero, BD Wong, and Samuel L. Jackson. The story follows a group of visitors who are invited to the park to experience the attractions. They soon discover that the park is not as safe as it appears, and must fight for survival against the cloned dinosaurs. The film was a commercial success, becoming the highest grossing film of 1993 and the highest grossing film of all time up until that point. It received positive reviews from critics, who praised its special effects, John Williams' musical score, and the performances of the cast. Kimble discovers that his wife's killer is actually the one-armed man he saw fleeing the scene of the crime. With the help of a sympathetic police detective, he must prove his innocence and outwit Gerard and his team long enough to find the real killer before it's too late.

The film is set during the night and follows the story of a group of people who take shelter in an isolated farmhouse when corpses begin to mysteriously rise from the dead and attack the living. The group soon realizes they are being besieged by an ever-growing group of zombies and must fight to survive the night. Throughout the film, the group struggles to stay alive and keep the zombies at bay as tensions rise within the group and they begin to question each other's judgment. In the end, all but one of the protagonists die and the lone survivor, Ben, is mistaken for a zombie and shot by the local sheriff.
