Zombieland is a 2009 post-apocalyptic comedy film directed by Ruben Fleischer. The story follows four people—Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Wichita (Emma Stone), and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin)—as they travel around the United States during a zombie apocalypse. The four must stick together to survive as they come across dangerous situations and meet other survivors. As they move from one location to the next, they must learn how to trust one another. Along the way, they discover the importance of friendship and family, as well as the importance of having fun in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a 2010 horror comedy film written and directed by Eli Craig. The film follows two rural hillbillies, Tucker and Dale, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of college students. The college students attempt to vacation at a dilapidated cabin near the two men's home, while Tucker and Dale try to save the students from various accidents. As the students continue to fear Tucker and Dale, a series of misunderstandings and misadventures ensue, eventually leading to a violent, yet comedic climax. The film is a commentary on how fear of the unknown can lead to misunderstanding and prejudices, as well as a satire of the horror genre.
