The college students attempt to vacation at a dilapidated cabin near the two men's home, while Tucker and Dale try to save the students from various accidents. As the students continue to fear Tucker and Dale, a series of misunderstandings and misadventures ensue, eventually leading to a violent, yet comedic climax. The film is a commentary on how fear of the unknown can lead to misunderstanding and prejudices, as well as a satire of the horror genre.
