Django Unchained is a 2012 American western-style revenge drama film written, produced and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film follows Django (Jamie Foxx), a former slave who teams up with a bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), to save his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), from a ruthless Mississippi plantation owner, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). Along the way, Django and Schultz confront a wide array of colorful characters, such as the notorious outlaw, Big Daddy (Don Johnson), and the former slave-turned-vengeful bounty hunter, Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson). By utilizing Dr. Schultz’s superior knowledge of the south, Django is able to successfully navigate through a treacherous world of violence, corruption and exploitation. In the end, Django confronts Calvin Candie in a bloody and explosive showdown, in which he rescues his beloved wife and saves himself in the process.

The Thing is a 1982 science-fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter. The film follows the crew of a remote Antarctic research station who are confronted with a terrifying, shape-shifting alien creature. The station's team consists of helicopter pilot R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell) and scientists Blair (Wilford Brimley), Copper (Richard Dysart) and Garry (Donald Moffat). The alien is able to take on the form of any living creature, and the team is soon plunged into a desperate struggle to survive against the creature and prevent it from reaching civilization. The film builds tension through mystery and paranoia as the team attempts to figure out who or what has been infected by the alien. Ultimately, the team discovers the alien's true form and they are forced to make a desperate stand to save themselves and the world from the creature.

He is pursued by Teasle and a special forces colonel (Richard Crenna) who had trained Rambo in Vietnam. The movie showcases a thrilling chase through the woods and a showdown between Rambo and the police. In the end, Rambo is captured, but the colonel sympathizes with him and decides to let him go.

The plot follows a group of high school students who are forced to compete in a deadly game of survival against each other. The students are forced to wear electronic collars that will detonate if they attempt to escape or break the rules of the game. The last one standing is deemed the winner. The film is noted for its critique of the Japanese educational system, its violent action sequences, and its commentary on youth culture. It has since achieved cult status and has been highly praised by critics.
