Evil Dead II is a sequel to the 1981 cult horror classic The Evil Dead. Directed by Sam Raimi, the film follows Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) as he is again drawn into a nightmarish world of demonic possession. The movie begins with Ash being terrorized by the living dead in a cabin deep in the woods. When he makes a desperate attempt to escape, he finds himself in an alternate dimension, where the horrific events of the night before take on a disturbingly surreal quality. He is soon forced to battle an army of the undead and confront the mysterious forces of evil that haunt him. Along the way he meets some unlikely allies, including the beautiful and enigmatic Annie (Sarah Berry). The film is a thrilling and darkly humorous mix of horror and comedy that cemented Sam Raimi's place in the annals of horror film history.
