Black Sails is a 2014 historical adventure drama directed by Stars. The film follows the adventures of Captain James Flint and his crew of pirates as they sail the high seas of the Caribbean in search of buried treasure. The film stars Toby Stephens as Flint, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Anne Bonny, Hannah New as Eleanor Guthrie, and Zach McGowan as Charles Vane. Set in the 1700s, Black Sails explores the Golden Age of Piracy by showing how Flint and his crew navigate their way around the rival captains, merchants, and captains of their own ship. The heroes face off against the evil Captain Barbossa and his cursed crew in order to save Elizabeth and break the curse. With the help of a fellow pirate, Jack outsmarts Barbossa and breaks the curse, restoring the crew back to its original human state. In the end, the heroes succeed and Jack returns to his life of piracy.
