Along the way, they are joined by a Texas Ranger, LaBoeuf (Matt Damon), who is on the hunt for the same criminal, and together they face the dangers of the Wild West. The film was met with critical acclaim, earning 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director. Bridges earned the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Cogburn, and Steinfeld earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The film was also a box office success, grossing over $250 million worldwide.
