Akira is set in a post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo, 31 years after it was destroyed in a mysterious explosion. The central plot follows the leader of a biker gang, Shotaro Kaneda, and his childhood friend, Tetsuo Shima, as they find themselves wrapped up in a government conspiracy to harness the power of a mysterious being known as Akira. Kaneda and his gang must fight against the government forces as they race to prevent Tetsuo from releasing Akira and destroying the city. Along the way, they discover secrets about the past, the government, and the power of Akira himself.

Facing a multitude of challenges, including a lack of funds, Munro eventually makes it to the salt flats and attempts to break the world record. Despite facing incredible odds, Munro manages to set a new land speed record and make history. The World's Fastest Indian is a heartwarming story about the power of determination and the importance of never giving up on your dreams.
