Let the Right One In is a Swedish horror-romance film directed by Tomas Alfredson and based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist. The Fly is a 1986 science fiction horror film directed by David Cronenberg, based on the 1958 short story of the same name by George Langelaan. The film stars Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis and John Getz. The story follows a scientist named Seth Brundle who is in the process of inventing a teleportation device. After an accident, a housefly is accidentally merged with Brundle's genetics and a terrifying transformation begins. Brundle slowly begins to lose his humanity and transforms into a "Brundlefly", a human-fly hybrid monster. As the transformation continues, his girlfriend Veronica must make a difficult decision that may save or destroy him. The Fly has been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, and won the Academy Award for Best Makeup. The film was also a box office success, grossing over $60 million at the US box office.
