Alien is a 1979 science-fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott. The film follows a space crew on the commercial towing spaceship, the Nostromo, who, after receiving a distress call from an unknown planet, discover a terrifying alien life form. The alien creature kills and impregnates crew members one by one, leaving the remaining few to battle against the creature and its deadly offspring in a desperate fight for their lives. In the end, lone survivor Ellen Ripley must face off against the alien and destroy it in order to save humanity.

Aliens is considered one of the best science fiction action films of all time, and is a must-see for any fan of the genre.

It follows the story of Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), a computer programmer who is invited to the remote home of Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). Nathan is a reclusive yet brilliant CEO of a software company, and has created a groundbreaking artificial intelligence named Ava (Alicia Vikander). Caleb is asked to evaluate Ava's capabilities by engaging in conversations with her, in order to determine whether or not she is truly capable of thinking and feeling like a human. As the tests progress, Caleb begins to develop a connection with Ava, and it soon becomes apparent that Nathan may have ulterior motives. With a mind-bending climax, Ex Machina explores the blurred boundaries between man and machine while pondering the ethics of artificial intelligence.
