Thor: Ragnarok is a 2017 science fiction fantasy action superhero film directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, and Cate Blanchett. The film follows Thor's quest to stop the Goddess of Death, Hela, from destroying his home, Asgard. Thor and his allies enlist the help of an old friend, the Hulk, to fight against Hela and save Asgard. The film contains an array of action sequences, witty comedy, and an impressive cast. The film culminates in an epic battle between Thor, Loki, and Hela on the planet Sakaar, as well as a thrilling battle between Thor and the fire demon, Surtur. Ultimately, Thor is successful in preventing Asgard's destruction, and he and his allies are able to return home.
