Midnight in Paris is a romantic comedy written and directed by Woody Allen. The film stars Owen Wilson as Gil, a successful but unhappy screenwriter from Hollywood who travels to Paris with his fiancee Inez and her parents. When Gil takes a late night walk, he finds himself transported back to the 1920s and comes across some of the city's most famous literary and artistic figures. As he meets and interacts with these iconic figures, he begins to realize that he feels more connected to this era than in the modern day, and he begins to fall in love with a woman from the 1920s. Along the way, he discovers the truth about himself, his relationship with Inez, and the magic of Paris at night.
