Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction adventure comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly, who accidentally travels back in time to 1955, where he meets his future parents in high school and accidentally becomes his mother's romantic interest. Christopher Lloyd portrays the eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown, inventor of the time-traveling DeLorean, who helps Marty repair history and return to 1985. The film tells the story of Marty traveling back in time to 1955 and how his presence affects the past and the future. With the help of Doc, he must find a way to return to his own time while not disrupting the space-time continuum. The film was a box-office success, grossing over $381 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 1985. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and was nominated for three additional Academy Awards. It spawned a franchise of three sequels, an animated series, a theme park ride, books, video games, and a stage musical.

The Terminator is a 1984 science fiction film directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg assassin sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). Sarah Connor is a young woman whose unborn son will one day save humanity from an artificial intelligence system known as Skynet. Sarah is protected by a human soldier, Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), also sent back in time to stop the cyborg. The Terminator is relentless in its pursuit of Sarah and Kyle, posing an unrelenting threat to their safety as they try to stay one step ahead and prevent the birth of an enemy that could destroy humanity.

The Fifth Element is a 1997 sci-fi adventure film directed by Luc Besson. Set in the 23rd century, the film follows cab driver and ex-special forces major Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis) as he becomes involved in a quest to save the world from evil. He is aided by a mysterious young woman, Leeloo (Milla Jovovich), who is a powerful, ancient being known as "the Fifth Element". Together, they must battle a sinister force, led by the evil Mangalore, which threatens to destroy the world. With the help of a colorful cast of characters, including an eccentric professor (Ian Holm) and a flamboyant fashion designer (Chris Tucker), they must retrieve four powerful elements needed to save the world from destruction. With breathtaking visuals and an unforgettable soundtrack, The Fifth Element is an exciting, action-packed ride through time and space.
