After Scarlett falls in love with a young East German Communist (Buchholz), Mac must use every trick in the book to keep her safe and away from her new love. Along the way, Mac has to deal with his eccentric boss (Arlene Francis), a scheming Soviet agent (Lilo Pulver), and a CIA agent (Howard St. John). The film is a classic satire of Cold War politics, corporate culture and family dynamics.
