Shaun of the Dead is a 2004 horror-comedy film directed by Edgar Wright. The film follows Shaun (played by Simon Pegg), a thirty-something electronics store worker in London, as he and his best friend, Ed (played by Nick Frost), try to survive the zombie apocalypse. Along the way, Shaun must battle his way through hordes of undead, rescue his girlfriend Liz (played by Kate Ashfield) from her zombie roommates, and take his stepfather Philip (played by Bill Nighy) to safety. With the help of his friends, Shaun uses his wit and ingenuity to survive the zombie onslaught. The film is an hilarious mix of zombie horror and British comedy, and is an excellent example of Edgar Wright's signature style of filmmaking.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a horror-comedy film directed by Eli Craig. It stars Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk as two hillbillies who, while vacationing at their cabin in the woods, are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of preppy college kids. The misunderstandings that the college kids create lead to a series of hilarious and bloody misadventures. Through it all, Tucker and Dale develop a friendship with the college kids as they flee from their pursuers. The movie has a strong anti-prejudice message and its blend of comedy, horror, and romance will have you laughing and jumping in your seat.
