Kill Bill: Vol. 1 is a 2003 martial arts action film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It stars Uma Thurman as the Bride, a former assassin seeking revenge against her ex-lover Bill and his team of deadly assassins. On her quest for vengeance, she fights her way through the members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad—O-Ren Ishii, Vernita Green, Budd and Elle Driver. Along the way, she encounters allies such as Battle-Scarred Bride and Hattori Hanzo, a legendary swordsman. The film is filled with non-stop action, colorful characters, and a memorable soundtrack. Ultimately, the Bride succeeds in her mission, and is narrowly saved from death by her former boss.
