Life of Brian is a British comedy film written, directed, and performed by the Monty Python comedy troupe. The film follows the life of Brian Cohen, a young Jewish man who is born on the same day as Jesus and is mistaken for the Messiah. Brian grows up in a Roman-occupied Judea, and becomes embroiled in a series of religious and political conflicts. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including the Wise Men, a would-be revolutionary leader, and his mother, who is constantly trying to make him more religious. In the end, Brian is freed from prison by a crowd of people who believe he is the Messiah, and he finally finds his true calling as a teacher.
