Rosemary's Baby is a 1968 psychological horror directed by Roman Polanski, based on Ira Levin's best-selling 1967 novel of the same name. The film tells the story of a pregnant woman, Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow), and her husband Guy (John Cassavetes). After moving into an old apartment building in New York City, Rosemary and Guy become increasingly isolated from the rest of society. As Rosemary's pregnancy progresses, she begins to suspect that she is being manipulated by a Satanic cult, who are intent on using her unborn child for their own sinister purposes. As Rosemary begins to uncover the truth, she must find a way to protect her baby from the cult's evil plans. Rosemary's Baby is widely recognized as one of the most influential horror films of all time, and remains a classic example of psychological horror.
