Halloween is a 1978 horror film directed by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis in her first leading role. He returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois and begins a murderous rampage of teenagers on Halloween night. Laurie Strode, a young high school student, is the only one able to stop him, but will she have the strength to do so? The film is widely regarded as a classic of the horror genre and spawned many sequels and remakes.

A hilarious and heartwarming story of friendship, Trading Places highlights the importance of kindness and understanding in a society divided by wealth and social privilege.

A Fish Called Wanda is a 1988 British heist comedy film directed by Charles Crichton and written by John Cleese. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese, Kevin Kline, and Michael Palin as a gang of thieves who double-cross each other to find stolen diamonds hidden by their unsuspecting victim. The film follows the comedic antics of the foursome as they try to outwit each other, while a bumbling English barrister (played by Cleese) attempts to keep them in line. In the end, only one of the criminals is able to get away with the diamonds. The film was well-received by critics, and won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
